The Purpose of the role
The Production Clerk coordinates and expedites the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to production schedule and maintains accurate production records.
About the Job
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all production-related inquiries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory levels, orders, and stock movements
- Assist in the development and implementation of new production processes
- Enforce safety regulations and adhere to company policies
- Monitor production output to identify opportunities for improvement
- Prepare reports on production activity and submit to management
- Investigate and resolve inventory issues in a timely manner
- Undertake and report weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual stock-take.
- Raise and follow up on production orders.
- Production data management and analysis.
- Maintain a zero variance on physical and SAP stock levels.
- The Production Clerk confers with department supervisors and other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
- The Production Clerk revises production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management and production teams.
- The Production Clerk confers with established personnel to resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
- The Production Clerk records production data, including volume produced and consumption of raw materials.
- The Production Clerk requisitions and maintains inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
- The Production Clerk calculates figures such as required The Production Clerk compiles information, such as production rates and progress, materials inventories, and materials used, so that status reports can be completed.
Minimum Education, Experience and other desired attributes
- Diploma education and above in business, IT, finance, economics, engineering, science, or related course
- Flexibility, accountability, effective and efficiency communication, and innovativeness.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
- knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
- knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Working knowledge and proficiency of inventory SAP system
