To ensure the efficient and accurate management of Market returns documentation, products recovery and disposal while minimizing costs and wastage and improve customer experience.
About the Job
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Ensure that market returns posted in solutech are approved, collected and received in Nyeri warehouse accordingly as per market returns SOP.
- Ensure information uploaded in solutech is accurate and relevant.
- Ensure that all returns approved meet the set criteria.
- Receive, verify and record returns as received from the market. Capturing the following details;
- Products returned
- Quantity
- Reasons for return
- Document (GRN/POD) details (Doc. No., Customer Name etc).
- Vehicle Reg. No.– Used to return the products
- Segregate returned products to a defined area. Sort the products for rework and those for disposal.
- Process the GRN/POD returns into the SAP system immediately for credit note approval.
- Arrange for immediate Rework and Disposal by liaising with QC and other necessary offices for facilitation of rework for good products and with Disposal for non-confirming products returned.
- Maintain record for reworked products those disposed of and share weekly report on the same.
- Ensure that Disposal process adheres to the Products Disposal SOP, and that the detailed summary is shared with the Inventory Accountant for stocks adjustment into the sap system.
- Scrutinize all received PODs for products not received by customer and not returned by drivers, for immediate follow-up with the driver and effect surcharging of the same where necessary.
- Ensure that a system is in place to capture POD’s and GRN’s received by the company. Reconcile the physical POD’s and GRN’s received with the system.
- Ensure that after sorting the returns; good products are inspected by QC, and then received in warehouse 27. immediately, both physically and into SAP system in liaison with the stores clerks FG or the Inventory Controller FG.
- Prepare Weekly and monthly reports of the market return and share with the inventory controller
Minimum Qualifications, Regulatory & Legal Requirements:
- Diploma in Business Administration, Finance, or any related field
- At least 1 years’ experience in FMCG is preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and give results within short timelines.
- Ability to come up with new ideas and creative solutions.
- Demonstrate skill and passion in problem solving and operational excellence
- A Self-starter who can achieve a set goal with limited supervision.
